As part of my ongoing professional development as a psychotherapist, I am offering these free sessions (usually SGD 180/hr) to practise working with a broader range of client presentations.

These sessions will be conducted over Zoom, and a video recording is required to be taken for
(1) my own learning and review, and
(2) for discussion with my supervisor, who supports me in my learning.
Both my supervisor and I are ethically obliged to keep your details and whatever you share confidential, unless there is a risk of harm to self or others.
This recorded video will only be available to me and my supervisor, and will not be used for purposes beyond professional development.

Please only apply below if you consent for our session to be recorded for such purposes. 

As there are more applications than sessions I am able to offer, you are automatically on the waitlist if you do not hear from me. If you require therapeutic support more promptly, you are welcome to book a free consultation with me here to explore therapy.

/ ABOUT THIS SESSION /

In this session, I am adopting the Focusing method developed by psychotherapist Eugene Gendlin. This method supports you in getting greater clarity, direction, and shifts for anything that matters to you in life. Research has shown that Focusing enhances well-being, healing, creative processes, and brings meaning in life.

In Focusing, we access your Felt Sense, which is your sense of the WHOLE of a situation - it can include thoughts, feelings, intuition, 'gut feelings' etc., AND it is more than that. When we learn to listen to our felt sense through Focusing, we hear the messages from our bodies more clearly and understand what you are truly feeling and wanting.

Focusing enhances the effectiveness of psychotherapy, and I have been using this method in my therapy sessions. When Focusing is experienced on a longer term, you will experience a new and healthier relationship with your self and with others.

This session, because of its one-off nature, is not exactly the same as therapy sessions with me. Therapy is a longer-term process where naturally, more insights and clarity emerge. This session offers more of a taste of how therapy with me is like, and while there is absolutely no obligation, you are welcome to also ask any questions and explore how therapy might look like for you, or read more about therapy with me here.
